Casa Adelante

EDesignC provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Low Voltage design services for the construction of a new residential property on the former home of historical bakery in the Mission District. The goal of the project was to develop a single location that would address a combination of community needs, such as family oriented, affordable residential homes, affordable arts space, and cultural preservation.

The development includes 143 residential units made up of studio through three-bedrooms, laundry room, two community rooms, ample outdoor space. The ground floor includes tenant services and management offices as well as commercial space that provides a variety of resident and community services.

The project features energy efficiency lighting and an enhanced indoor air quality heating system. The heating system provides plentiful MERV-13 filtered outdoor air to each apartment and maintains the apartments at code compliant 68°F at no cost to the tenant. The tenant is provided with supplemental electric heat that they can control to have a warmer indoor temperature as desired at their cost.
